Kimmy Duong joined Pragmatics in 1987, following a successful 25-year career at IBM. She serves as Pragmatics’ Vice Chairman, as well as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, she is responsible for all corporate support functions, including accounting, finance, budgeting, treasury, human resources, risk management, contracts, purchasing, and compliance. She also provides oversight for corporate tax functions.
Ms. Duong began her career at IBM-Vietnam as a programmer/analyst and installed several financial systems, including a state-of-the-art accounting system for a large electronics firm. She received several awards for excellent technical achievement. Ms. Duong rejoined IBM in the United States in 1975 and led a number of projects, including the conversion of one of IBM’s key internal administrative databases. She again received several technical achievement awards for her innovative ideas and dedication to successful task completion.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Saigon. In 2008, Ms. Duong was selected as one of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching in 2009.
