How did you get started in your field? What was your journey to Pragmatics like?
I joined Pragmatics in April 2016. During my job search, I valued how the company gave back to its community where its people live and work. I was impressed by the company's owner's strong commitment to humanitarian aid and education. (Learn more about PragmaticSERVES.)
What is your current role at Pragmatics? Why is your role important?
My team is responsible for managing all procurement activities, which keeps our business operations running smoothly and saves time and resources. I am currently a Contracts and Procurement Administrator. This is an essential role in managing invoice and purchase orders and solving any procurement-related issues.
What is your favorite part about working at Pragmatics?
Pragmatics has established a generosity-driven culture where people from ground level to upper management are always comfortable helping their coworkers.
Giving and gaining support from different departments is critical for my role as a Contracts and Procurement Admin. The position requires effective coordination and collaboration with Project Management, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure purchase orders are correctly placed to align with clients' needs. What advice do you have for young professionals who are in their early careers?
Keep your passion for your job and work hard. Career-building will follow eventually. Remember, hard work will pay you back!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Nothing gives me more comfort than spending time with family - eat, learn, play sports, and watch TV together. I enjoy seeing every step that my children take while they grow up. My wife and I want to make the most of this opportunity while we are all under one roof.
