Pragmatics recognizes your outstanding contribution to go above and beyond to do the best possible job!

In honor of 2021 Chairman's Awards, let's meet Frank Adams, one of our Program Managers, who has been with Pragmatics for a little more than ten years. In his role, Frank assembled and exceptional team to provide for the Navy Office of General Counsel. Let's meet Frank and discover his expertise and leadership values.

Frank, how did you get started in your domain? What was your journey to Pragmatics like?

quoteMy faith in God and the firm belief of "Teamwork Makes the Dream
Work" guided me to mass a tremendous Team.

I've been working for the Navy/Department of Defense as a government contractor since 1985, starting right out of high school with a company called RCA Government Services. I've worked for five different contractors over my 36-year career. Nonetheless, I found a place called home in June of 2011 when I came to Pragmatics.

I immediately knew that one of Pragmatics' core values was family, without any doubt, this was the place for me.

My faith in God and the firm belief of "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" guided me to assemble a tremendous team.

What is your current expertise at Pragmatics? Tell us more about a project that you're working on?

We currently provide expertise in Navy Case Management Billing Line Reconciliation, Litigation Support for the Office of General Counsel in association with the Department of State Legal Claims International Division.

What's your proudest achievement at Pragmatics?

quoteI received the award, however, I would emphasize that you must surround yourself with great people… although the distinction has my name, it belongs to my entire team.

In 2014 we won the contract from an incumbent that had been in place for nearly ten years. In that same year, I've received the Pragmatic's Chairman's Award for Recognition of my Community Service, Untiring Dedication, and Commitment to Service, and became an Ordained Minister one year later.

After a few years, in September of 2021, we won the recompete 5-year contract. Last month, I was presented with the 2021 Pragmatics Chairman's Award for Program/Project Manager Leadership/Support for Performance Excellence, Exceptional Project Leadership, and Outstanding Commitment.

I received the award, however, I would emphasize that you must surround yourself with great people… although the distinction has my name, it belongs to my entire team.

What advice do you have for professionals who would like to pursue this career path?

quoteA Life is going to throw you curveballs, no matter how well you think you have it all figured out, you must stay humble no matter how successful you become, […].

Build a great team around you, with like-minded individuals working to achieve the same goal. Life is going to throw you curveballs, no matter how well you think you have it all figured out, you must stay humble no matter how successful you become, and more importantly, you must be able to "adapt and adjust" to sudden changes.
