Steven Kelman Joins Pragamtics as Strategic Consultant
McLean, VA, August 25, 2008 – Pragmatics, Inc., a leading provider of information technology (IT) services and solutions for the federal government, today announced that Dr. Steven Kelman, the Weatherhead Professor of Public Management at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, has joined the company as a consultant/strategic advisor to CEO Dr. Long Nguyen. Kelman will advise Pragmatics on key IT, procurement, and management issues to maximize the value of the services the company provides to customers.
Kelman has had a distinguished career, which included serving as Administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy in the Office of Management and Budget. In that role, he led efforts in support of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 and the Federal Acquisition Reform Act of 1995. He has authored a number of books and articles on policymaking process and management in government organizations. Kelman is a graduate of Harvard College and has a Ph.D. in government from Harvard University.
