Pragmatics Awarded Task Order by
Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
McLean, VA, May 7, 2009 — Pragmatics, Inc., a leading provider of information technology (IT) solutions and services for the federal government, today announced the award of a task order by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) under the Enterprise Systems Support Services (ESSS) contract. Pragmatics will deliver technical assistance services to maintain current Web publishing/electronic content production, publication, and management operations, as well as assist in the transition and implementation of new Web and electronic publishing processes. The task order is valued at just under $600,000 for the six-month period of performance.
The services the Pragmatics team will provide include HTML development for electronic content management and publishing; management of OCC ESSS Web sites serving both its internal and external communities (including OCC.gov and the primary external communications for OCC e-mail notifications, with more than 30,000 registered recipients); and Web publishing — with a two-hour window — for all OCC speeches and other external communications.
Pragmatics Vice President and General Manager Joe Inqui said, “We are pleased to have this opportunity to continue our partnership with OCC for the ESSS Program. Our deep domain understanding and use of industry best practices enable us to deliver cost-effective Web publishing technical assistance services. We will also provide guidance on Web 2.0 functionality and usage to enable OCC to best utilize these critical services.”
Pragmatics COO Paul Strasser noted, “Pragmatics looks forward to supporting OCC’s essential customer services and communication objectives, which include modernizing the Web sites and transforming paper-based publication processes to enable more efficient document production, management, publication, and dissemination in multiple formats.”
As a Treasury bureau, the OCC charters, regulates, and supervises national banks to ensure a safe, sound, and competitive banking system that supports both the citizens and the economy of the United States. Currently, the OCC supervises approximately 1,648 institutions with national bank charters and 50 federal branches of foreign banks in the United States.
