Software Expert to Lead Strategic Technical Support for Clients

Reston, VA, April 2, 2014 – Pragmatics, Inc. today announced the appointment of Sean Cohan as Vice President of the company’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG).  In this role, Cohan will provide oversight and direction for Pragmatics’ corporate subject matter experts and the delivery of consulting services across the company and in support of clients.  He will report to Chief Operating Officer Joe Brock.

Cohan previously served as a technical director in the Pragmatics Defense and Intelligence Solutions Division.  His more than 25 years of experience in software development was instrumental in Pragmatics’ attainment of CMMI® Maturity Level 5, as well as in the development of Pragmatic Agility®, the company’s proprietary methodology which combines agile development with CMMI Level 5 practices.

Cohan joined Pragmatics in 2004 as a software architect and has since held increasingly responsible positions, including senior technical consultant.  During that time, he led numerous initiatives that resulted in the improved delivery of software solutions and contributed to Pragmatics’ growth.  Prior to joining Pragmatics, Cohan served as a technical consultant for companies such as Texas Instruments, SITEL Technology Services, and NASD Regulations, Inc.

COO Brock said, “I am extremely pleased to make this announcement.  Sean Cohan’s wealth of experience in software development and information technology systems engineering for a broad range of government customers makes him a natural choice to lead TSG.  He is an excellent addition to the Pragmatics executive team, and we look forward to the innovative solutions and strong leadership he will bring to TSG.”
