Pragmatics CEO Dr. Long Nguyen Honored as 2008 Minority Business Leader

McLean, VA, April 4, 2008 – Pragmatics, Inc. today announced that CEO Dr. Long Nguyen has been selected as one of Washington Business Journal 's 2008 Minority Business Leaders. Dr. Nguyen was selected for the award from among many distinguished minority business leaders and owners in the Washington , D.C. area who exhibited outstanding performance for their companies during the past 12 to 18 months. He and 24 other minority business leaders will be honored on April 11 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor , Maryland .

Dr. Nguyen came to the United States from Vietnam in 1960 as a college student and became a U.S. citizen in 1980. He established Pragmatics, a leading information technology (IT) solutions provider, in 1985. Under his outstanding leadership, the Company has grown to $65 million in revenue in 2007 and has 400 employees at three U.S. locations. Pragmatics' ten-year growth rate has averaged 25 percent.

Dr. Nguyen makes many charitable contributions to organizations in the Washington area. These have included providing phone cards to wounded veterans at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and hosting a dinner for more than 80 wounded veterans and their families. He also made two endowments to the George Mason University School of Law and serves on the George Mason Board of Visitors. He is a past a Federal 100 Award winner; has received the Corporate We Are America Now Award by the Center for Multicultural Human Services in recognition of his corporate leadership, which has been a role model for immigrants; and was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award finalist.
