Pragmatics Names Dan Chenok as Senior Vice President

 

Former OMB and SRA Executive to lead Pragmatics Civilian Work

MCLEAN, Va. , Feb 20, 2008 -- Pragmatics, Inc., a leading provider of information technology (IT) solutions and services for the Federal government, announced today that Mr. Dan Chenok has been named as a new Senior Vice President and General Manager.

Dan's primary responsibility will be leading operational performance of the Civilian Agency Services Division. Dan will also lead the development and refinement of Pragmatics' horizontal business practices across the company, and will also support strategic planning as well as corporate and business development.

Mr. Chenok will report directly to Pragmatics' Chief Operating Officer, Paul Strasser, as he plays a crucial role in the company's strategic growth. “Dan is a highly respected leader in the Federal government market. He has a reputation for delivering smart solutions, high quality service, and integrity while with the Federal government and industry. We are very pleased to have Dan join our team during this critical stage of our development towards a large, publicly-traded company,” said Strasser.

Pragmatics CEO, Dr. Long Nguyen, said, “Dan has an outstanding track record of successful leadership in the Federal government market. He has been instrumental in initiatives related to e-government and increasing government efficiency and effectiveness.”

Mr. Chenok comes to Pragmatics with over 20 years of government and industry experience supporting Federal programs, policies, and budgets. Prior to joining Pragmatics, he was a Vice President for SRA International. Previous to SRA, Mr. Chenok was the Branch Chief for Information Policy and Technology at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), where he helped to shape and lead their IT and e-government policy and budget work across administrations. Regarding his forthcoming role with Pragmatics, Chenok said, “I am excited by the opportunity that Dr. Nguyen has provided to join the Pragmatics leadership team. I look forward to helping Pragmatics increase and enhance the value it brings to its customers, and to working with its outstanding cadre of technical and functional experts.”
