Paul Strasser

Paul Strasser joined Pragmatics as chief operating officer in 2004.  He plays a critical role in delivering high-quality services and effective operational performance on a leading portfolio of federal government contracts and leverages the company’s performance excellence and best practices to increase organic growth.  Under his leadership, the company has consistently increased revenue and profitability.

Strasser came to Pragmatics with over 23 years of experience in technical and senior management positions focused on defense and federal civilian agencies.  He served as vice president and division manager for Titan Corporation’s Enterprise Services and Solutions Sector, where he provided strategy, guidance, and oversight to the overall management of operational activities for the division.  Before joining Titan (where he spent 19 years), he served as a certified satellite operations engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space.  He has been responsible for managing large organizations consisting of hundreds of engineers focused on mission critical IT and also capturing numerous large contracts worth in excess of $1 billion.

Strasser has a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from State University of New York at Oswego and a graduate certificate in information systems management from the University of Southern California Graduate School.  He is a recognized expert in independent verification and validation, software testing, project management information systems, spacecraft operations, and satellite command and control.

He is active in the Industry Advisory Council and the Government Electronics and Information Technology Association (GEIA) and currently serves as GEIA’s Vice Chair.  As a result of the recent merger of GEIA and the Information Technology Association of America, Strasser serves on the new Board of Directors.
