Walter Davis

Walter Davis is Pragmatics chief business development officer.  He uses his more than 40 years of experience in business development and marketing and his background in implementing leading-edge technologies and building strategic partnerships to help define new markets and launch new solutions in the information technology industry.  Since he joined the company in 2004, Pragmatics has won two major software contracts with the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Prior to joining Pragmatics, Davis served as senior vice president of marketing for Computer & Hi-Tech Management, Inc. (CHM), where he led growth 100 to over 600 employees and increased revenue from $8 million to $92 million.

Earlier in his career, Davis led a joint IBM-Navy team in designing and developing the formatted file system that became the standard database systems used throughout the intelligence community for over 20 years.  At Planning Resource Corporation (PRC), he led the capture of the $450 million patent trademark automation project, the largest award in PRC’s history at that time.  In the beginning of his career he developed programs for intelligence applications at General Electric and the National Security Agency.

Davis has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
