Kimmy Duong, Vice Chairman

Kimmy Duong joined Pragmatics in 1987 following a successful 25-year career at IBM.  She served as the Pragmatics chief financial officer from 1993 until 2010.  In that role, she provided financial leadership and held overall responsibility for all accounting and financial initiatives.  She also provided oversight for the human resources department.

Duong began her career at IBM-Vietnam as a programmer/analyst and installed several financial systems, including a state-of-the-art accounting system for a large electronics firm.  She received several awards for excellent technical achievement.  Duong rejoined IBM in the United States in 1975 and led a number of projects, including the conversion of one of IBM’s key internal administrative databases.  She again received several technical achievement awards for her innovative ideas and dedication to successful task completion.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Saigon.
In 2008, Duong was selected as one of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching in 2009.
